HOTEL AND HOSPITALITY PR · KANSAS CITY

Hotel PR in Kansas City.

Nine hotels open in this market through 2027. The Park Hotel on the Plaza. River Market Hotel. UMusic in the Scarritt Building. DoubleTree at KCI. AC Hotel Overland Park. They will all announce in the same windows, to the same short list of Kansas City reporters.

Most of them will send a press release. That is not a plan.

What we do for a property.

We have worked with Hotel Kansas City and across the hospitality side of this market for years. Here is the work.

01

We get the opening story, not the opening mention.

There is a difference between being listed in a round-up of new hotels and being the hotel the round-up is about. The second one is won months earlier.

02

We build the local credibility a national agency cannot.

Your brand team in New York knows the trade press. They do not know which Kansas City editor just had a baby, who left for a new outlet, or who actually shows up to a preview.

03

We fill the preview with people who matter here.

Travel writers, food critics, civic leadership, the people whose Instagram moves a weekend. An empty preview has never made a headline.

04

We make the restaurant and the bar their own story.

Hotel F&B is usually treated as an amenity. Pitched properly it is a second, separate wave of coverage with a different set of reporters.

05

We keep the property in the conversation between seasons.

Holiday programming, a new chef, a renovation, a partnership with a team or a festival. There is always a reason to call. Most properties never make the call.

Why the next two years matter here.

Kansas City just hosted six FIFA World Cup matches at Arrowhead, and the attention did not leave with the crowds. A Royals ballpark is rising at Crown Center. A Chiefs stadium is headed to Wyandotte County. The South Loop cap over I-670 is pulling roughly $685 million of construction behind it.

Every one of those brings room nights, and every one of them is a reason for a reporter to write about where people are staying. If you are opening into that, you do not have two years to learn who returns a call in this town. We already know.
